I took my husband here for his birthday. The decor was very nice and elegant. We had the tasting menu and it was delicious. All the flavors and herbs. My husband now wants to go to Italy!! Loll!! The staff were very nice and friendly!! Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back
The service was terrific. The food was creative and enjoyable. The 5 course traditional meal was effectively 7 courses with an extra potato and lentils dish that was lovely, along with a perfect citrus palette cleanser. The meal was so rich and satisfying, despite small serving sizes, that I had to take home some of the food. And despite the rather high price, in the end I felt that I got my money's worth with all the lovely little touches and unexpected extras.
I have no words to describe the level of satisfaction from my incredible visit at Fiola. What I do know, is that I would absolutely visit once a week if I could. Each course of their tasting menu was incredibly manicured, beautiful, and most importantly...delicious. Under no circumstances come into Fiola expecting your traditional "Olive Garden" experience as you will be sorely disappointed. Each and every bite was like listening to your favorite symphony, observing each brush stroke of your favorite painting, or staring deep into the night sky and counting the stars. As I told some of the incredible staff that curated the journey for me, Fiola is not worthy of their single Michelin star -- they are worthy of all three.
If I could give ten stars, I would. Truly deserving of the Michelin Star. We did the traditional tasting and it was perfect. The opening amuse bouche, which was a full spectrum of gustatory delights, was paired with an incredible Barone Pizzini 'Golf 1927' Blanc de Blanc, that mysteriously kept getting refilled. After the course, explanation, and great conversation with staff and companion at the bar, we were shown to our table where the main event began.
The pictures tell the tale better than words can. The menu was superbly planned and very summer appropriate. Will update later with more detailed notes on each course. But the biggest delight was Chef stopping by the table to have a word about our experience and thank us for joining them.
The whole staff's warm, outgoing, relaxed, and welcoming personalities as well as their overarching passion for food is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. Service was incredible. I'll definitely be back.
Came to Fiola for my birthday and we had a blast! We opted for the 9 course meal and everything was delicious. My only 2 negatives was 1) they had us facing 2 other tables while sitting next to each other it felt awkward because you don't really know where to look without feeling like you're staring at others and 2) they said they would wrap up my dessert to go and didn't. I'm sure it was a mistake but I was really sad that I didn't get to eat my dessert especially after paying as much as we did.
Fiola was the best and my favourite dining experience in Washington dc. Food inspiring, service incredible, wine superb. If you get the chance, then yes, go, you won't forget it.
I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Everything about the tasting menu actually tasted pretty good. One of the better Michelins in the DC area. Flavor is on par with NY Michelin restaurants. The mini bites in the beginning tasted really good. The lobster was really good and well cooked. Only issue is the price for the amount of food we got. If only that was more adjusted and reasonable, it would've been perfect. But all-in-all great food and service.
Came here for my birthday. Food service was awesome ! But was is the second best Italian cuisine world wide🤔idk. Wine suggestion are soo good. The sommeiler shared lots of good options with our table. I had really good experience there.
